The first annual July 4th block party was held this year and a good time was had by all! Although no official permit was obtained, the street was essentially blocked off by cars, trucks and cones..........
Neighbors all pitched in - food, barbeques and games galore. Dave and Jennifer even set up a pool in the street. Lots of fun in the sun for sure.
Day was marked by hot dogs, hamburgs, salads, water balloons and guns, hoola hoops, wine, soft drinks and a few beers too. We even had a wonderful artist on site to capture caricatures of everyone. 
The 4th ended with a cookie bake off contest and trophy awards ceremony. Janet surprised many with her crowd favorite concoction - classic chocolate chips. Congrats and best of luck next year for the runner ups.
